A quick Q&A with Senior Developer, Bruce Pouncey

What’s your role at QuantSpark and where do you sit within the organisation?

I am a Full Stack developer here at QS mostly working on data automations tools.

What did you do before you worked at QuantSpark and where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Before QS I was developing apps and websites for small clients as a freelance contractor. I also occasionally develop indie games in my spare time. Before software I used to manage Speciality coffee shops and skateboard for a local team.

In the next 5 years I wish to be a Technical Specialist in a leading role.

What do you love about your job?

I have always been a creative individual, and always had a real interest in tech and the sciences. Being a developer gives me a platform to express my creativity and produce tools that improve quality of life.

Who have you learnt the most from at QuantSpark so far? What have you learnt from them?

It’s hard to pin it down to an individual, I would say the OSINT and analytics teams as they’re fields I am not familiar in.

What advice would you give to someone on their first day at QuantSpark?

Be yourself we’re all friends here.
