A quick Q/A with Senior Analyst, Varun Kale

What’s your role at QuantSpark and where do you sit within the organisation?

I am a Senior Analyst at QuantSpark in the Analytics Consulting Team. I have predominately worked with a global asset manager, where I have worked on a variety of analytical projects from creating bespoke data visualisations to data strategy work-streams.

What did you do before you worked at QuantSpark and where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

I joined QS early in 2023 and previously I was a Junior Data Science Consultant at a multi-national consultancy having initially joined on the Graduate Scheme. In 5 years’ time I want to be leading a Analytics Team in the Financial Services and Asset Management sectors shaping the future for multiple aspects of businesses.

What do you love about your job?

The awesome colleagues I get to work with daily and variety of different stakeholders I get to engage with. The opportunity to learn at QuantSpark is endless and the L&D budget is great! There is a such a great variety of projects in multiple sectors which really keeps you motivated and looking ahead.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. If you don’t ask you won’t get.

Who inspires you?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Virat Kohli – Coming from modest backgrounds, they tirelessly worked their way to the top of their respective sports. Their careers show that with hard work and absolute dedication, anyone can achieve anything they believe in.
