A quick Q&A with Senior Analyst, Hattie Goff

What’s your role at QuantSpark and where do you sit within the organisation?

I work within the Analytics team as an Senior Analyst at QS. The role is interdisciplinary and combines the skills of both a business analyst and data scientist. We work cross functionality with the Engineering team to deliver projects across a wide range of industries such as retail, private equity and consumer.

What did you do before you worked at QuantSpark and where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

I joined QS in 2022 after completing a Masters degree in chemistry at the University of Bath. My interest in data came from my Masters project where I researched the application of machine learning to predict chemical energies. The penultimate year of my degree I spent on placement at Mondelez International (owner of Cadbury’s) where I worked as a Materials Scientist and got to eat lots of chocolate!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

The best things come from pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

Australia! Heading off in December and very excited to spend an Aussie Christmas on the beach!
