A quick Q&A with Analyst, Akansha Roy

What’s your role at QuantSpark and where do you sit within the organisation?

I am an Analyst within the Analytics Team, where my role is a unique blend of client facing interactions and in-depth data analysis tasks. This interdisciplinary position combines the skill sets of a business analyst and a data scientist, enabling me to deliver comprehensive insights and actionable recommendations.

What did you do before you worked at QuantSpark and where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Prior to starting with QuantSpark, I worked at Colgate-Palmolive and IQVIA as a consultant after completing my master’s in biomedical engineering from Imperial College London. In 5 years, I strive to be an accomplished data analyst, having worked with diverse clients across various industries.

What do you love about your job?

The diverse range of projects and the dynamic nature of each project provide great opportunities to learn and hone my skills. Additionally, the close cross-functional collaboration within the company further enhances the overall work experience.

How would your 10-year-old self-react to what you do now?

I think 10-year-old me would be very proud.

Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

I'm eager to explore Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, to immerse myself in their diverse cultures, explore their beautiful attractions, and savour their delicious cuisine.
