A quick Q&A with Commercial Executive, George Ball

What’s your role at QuantSpark and where do you sit within the organisation?

At QuantSpark I have recently taken the role of Commercial Executive, meaning I will work within the commercial team, helping them to deliver current projects and drive in new deals. 

What did you do before you worked at QuantSpark and where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Prior to QuantSpark, I was a student at Nottingham Trent University where I received a degree in International Business. During my third year I got my first taste for QuantSpark, through an internship with the then, Business Development team! I then went travelling around Southeast Asia, Australia with a quick stop in New Zealand.

In five years’, time I hope to be successful and set up in my field, have moved out into a nice house and be thinking about what my next 5 years will look like.

How would your 10-year-old self-react to what you do now?

I think he would be proud, having finished university, travelled some of the world and then securing a job, what more could he ask for!

Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

New Zealand, Hawaii and French Polynesia, only visiting New Zealand very quickly and seeing its beauty has caught me. I would love to be able to go back and travel it properly, stopping off in Hawaii and French Polynesia on the way home, because... why not!

The first of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with Dragon Tattoo series ... The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
